WHO WE ARE
In 2017, the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) developed the Family Enrichment Center model, guided by the belief that community members are the experts in their lives. We co-design offerings alongside residents, local leaders, businesses, organizations, and agencies to bring in resources based on the desires of the community
On March 2, 2024, The B.R.I.D.G.E officially opened its doors to the Rockaways and Broad Channel, fostering a unique community engagement experience.
MISSION
Our mission is to uplift individuals and families through our seven foundational protective factors. We believe that by fostering resilience, nurturing relationships, promoting knowledge, offering concrete support, enhancing communication, facilitating economic mobility, and strengthening community bonds, we can create a framework for lasting success and generational wealth.
VISION
We strive to support healthy personal and family functions, advancing mental, physical, educational, professional, and financial well-being for all.
COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARDS
Our Community Advisory Boards are purposed to provide input to The B.R.I.D.G.E. on designing programs and services that meet the needs of families in Rockaway and Broad Channel.
VOLUNTEERING
The Teen and Young Adults Advisor Committee (TAYC) serve as a communication bridge between The B.R.I.D.G.E. and teens / young adults on the Rockaway peninsula to unify them in working together for these goals.
